What Toxico is All About
Did you know that Toxic in spanish means Toxico?
According to Google, Toxic means poisonous, venomous, dangerous, harmful, unsafe and environmentally unfriendly.
But Toxico has many different kinds of meanings.
For example, Smoking cigarettes or marijuana and consuming alcohol or drugs is toxic to our bodies. In the same way, eating unhealthy foods such as junk food, foods high in fat, high in sugar, carbohydrates, sodium and calories, all contain substances that causes disturbances in our organs. Some of them leading to cancers and or other illnesses. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Toxic things we consume on a daily basis.
Toxico is not only what we put in our mouths, it is also what comes out.
Gossiping , negative words, cursing , bad mouthing other people, not respecting others are all examples of toxicity that comes out of our mouths. We need to be just as aware of what comes out of our bodies, just as much as we are concerned with what goes in.
Toxico can be poisonous substances too:
Gas, carbon monoxide, explosives, pollution, among many more examples, aren't usually things that we can control putting into our bodies. However, we can make small changes that will help reduce the amount of CO that we emit into the world.
Toxico can be politics
The government, IRS, our president’s decisions, racism, judging and discrimination are all examples of how a seemingly small thing can turn into a toxic lifestyle. We need to be aware of what we are listening to if we want to live a toxic free life.
There are 2,115,186 Human poison exposures a year and 51,164 animal poisons a year. This is not including the foods we consume, alcohol, drugs and cigarettes.
So, next time, before you put something in your mouth or say something Toxico, ask yourself if it’s worth it or not.
